So you use bluetooth to maybe send and receive files, or connect a wireless headset, or whatever… but you don’t want to leave it on all the time due to battery consumption? But it’s such a PAIN to go through all those menus to turn it on and off, what a predicament we are in here
This is where Aden comes to the rescue again with another great s60 app being added to the list of the best!
Of course, I’m speaking of BTSwitch; an application that when ran will toggle your bluetooth on and off. Easy!
What is even better is that if you put it on your homescreen somewhere (either on the application shortcut widget or right selection key) then it is even quicker to turn your bluetooth on and off.
Using this application not only helps save battery life but enables faster execution of tasks like file transferring and protects you from those pesky bluetooth hackers/spammers (although Nokia’s are pretty safe to be fair).
So without further a due I present you with the link for the download, this is just one of the places you can get it from (if it’s down just Google ‘BTSwitch’) ; http://www.symbian-freeware.com/mirror/BTSwitch-v1-00-Open-Signed.sis
You MAY have to sign this for your device using the online symbian signing website over at https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/public/openSignedOnline.do
Just give it a go and let me know what you think
It’s free remember
Also, if you have any suggestions for applications that NEED to be added to this on growing list we have here then just drop me a comment
