App Review: ScratchPad
ScratchPad is a freeware utility application for the Nokia N97 provided by bitsforfree.eu.
Features
The program lets you draw and write on the touch screen. New screens/pages can be added, and each page can be edited and removed individually. There is also a function to navigate between the pages.
Is it my new sketchpad?
I don’t think so. ScratchPad is similar to ScratchMMS from the same developer, and also share several of its shortcomings. No keyboard input, only portrait mode (ScratchMMS only supports landscape mode though, so that’s kind of weird) and well, writing or drawing on the N97 touch screen just isn’t a very nice experience in my opinion.
The navigation feature is nice though, simple and fast.
All in all, I really think the developer should look at combining the features found in Notes On The Phone, ScratchMMS and this application. Combined, it would make a killer application! Instead of 3 different applications not quite getting it done…
