Today we are continuing our comparison between Nokia N97 and BlackBerry products. The biggest advantage of Nokia N97 is that it has a touch screen while BlackBerry Curve 8900 doesn’t but both phones are having a physical full qwerty keyboard.

Nokia N97 has a 3.5″ 640×360 pixels screen while the BlackBerry Curve 8900 has a 2.4″ 480×360 pixels screen. Until now, Nokia have always won when we talk about internal memory because it always comes with 32 GB of internal memory while BlackBerry Curve 8900 doesn’t get an internal memory at all but both phones are having a microSD slot card.

When we talk about processors, BlackBerry wins because it haves a processor of 512 Mhz, while the Nokia N97 has an ARM11 CPU processor of 434 Mhz. Both phones are having 128 MB of RAM memory and are featuring GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity which are probably the most common features from Nokia and BlackBerry.

Nokia N97 has a 5 MP camera while BlackBerry Curve 8900 has a 3.1 MP camera which is quite a big difference. Nokia N97 is heavier weighting 150 grams while BlackBerry Curve 8900 weights 108.9 grams.

If you want my opinion, buy an Nokia N97 because you already saw the many advantages it haves.

First of all I have to say that BlackBerry Bold 9700 is newer than Nokia N97. Nokia N97 have been announced in 2008 November while BlackBerry Bold 9700 have been announced in 2009 October which is quite a big difference.

Nokia N97 weights 150 grams while the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is lighter weighting 122 grams. I think that isn’t a big difference.

When we talk about colors, Nokia N97 is leading with 16M colors while the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has only 65k colors. Nokia N97 has a 3.5″ 640×480 touch screen display while the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has a 2.44″ 480×366 display.

Both phones are featuring full physical qwerty keyboard but the Nokia N97 has also the feature of hand writing because of the touch screen but i tell you that I personally tested that and it is a good feature but it takes too much to write something of at least if you’re not used it.

Looking at the prices for a new unlocked Nokia N97 are starting from $480 while the prices for a new unlocked BlackBerry Bold 9700 are starting from $430 so there is not a big difference talking about the prices.

Today we are starting a new comparison between Nokia N97 and BlackBerry Bold 9000. The N97 has a 3.5″ 640×360 touch screen while the BlackBerry Bold 9000 has a 2.6″ 480×320 which is quite bigger. The both phones are featuring a full physical qwerty keyboard.

Talking about multimedia, both phones are featuring a 3.5mm audio jack. N97 has a big advantage when we talk about the camera. Nokia N97 has a 5 MP camera while the BlackBerry Bold 9000 has a photo camera of only 2 MP.

When we look at both phones processor we see that Nokia N97 comes with a single ARM11 CPU of 434 MHz while the BlackBerry Bold 9000 comes with a processor of 624 MHz. This doesn’t mean that the BlackBerry Bold 9000 is much better than Nokia N97, probably the processor of Nokia N97 is much powerful either it looks not to be like this. Also, both phones are having 128 MB of RAM memory.

Nokia N97 has 32 GB of internal memory while this BlackBerry has only 1 GB of internal memory. Both phones are having Wi-Fi and GPS connections.

The price of BlackBerry Bold 9000 is around $275 while the price for a Nokia N97 is around $450. If you want my opinion, buy an N97.

Here we are continuing the series of comparisons between phones. Now we are going to talk about a comparison between Nokia N97 and BlackBerry Storm as you can see in the title.

As I usually start Nokia N97 has a 3.5″ 640×360 display that is bigger than 3.5″ 360×480 BlackBerry Storm display. It is obvious that both phones are having touch screens.

As you should know, BlackBerry Storm doesn’t got a physical keyboard while Nokia N97 does and it is a full qwerty one. This keyboard is very comfortable, but people are really missing the alphanumeric keypad and they also hate the thing that the space is placed on the right side.

Nokia N97 has built for internet maniacs so it features Wi-Fi connectivity and so does BlackBerry Storm but this phone has no built especially for internet. I mean that you are not going to have the same internet experience with both phones.

It’s funny to hear that Nokia N97 weights 150 grams while BlackBerry Storm weights 155 grams so there is a very small difference.

N97 has a internal memory of 32 GB and BlackBerry Storm has only 1 GB of internal memory. Anyway, both phones are featuring a microSD card slot which supports up to 16 gb of external memory.

Nokia N97 is featuring the 5th generation of Symbian S60 while the BlackBerry Storm features the regular BlackBerry OS as the other BlackBerry products.

Both phones are having GPS receiver so Nokia N97 features Nokia Maps 2.0 Touch while BlackBerry Storm features the BlackBerry Maps.

I have to say that I fell in love with the home screen of Nokia N97 because it is very easy to personalize with a lot of widgets and social networks.

If you want my opinion, I will chose the Nokia N97.

I recently bought an iPhone 3GS so you can already know what device I prefer but i will try to stay at the ‘middle’ but the differences will be very big.

Despite of all those things I said above and I will keep saying below, the Nokia N97 has been released on June 2009 and the iPhone 3GS has been released same time.

Still, the Nokia N97 weights 150 grams while the iPhone 3GS weights 135 grams which is quite a big difference.

The Nokia N97 has the same display size: 3.5″, but here is another plus for the Nokia product: the Nokia N97 has a resolution of 640 x 360 while the iPhone 3GS has a resolution of 320 x 480.

Also, the both phones are having the same internal memory, but the N97 can be upgrade to 48gb. The nokia N97 has a processor of 434MHz while the iPhone 3GS has a 600MHz processor. And the last thing, Nokia N97 has 128MB of RAM, while the iPhone 3GS has 256MB.

Ginny Mies over at PC World gives us a review of the Nokia N97.

On paper, the Nokia N97 seems to beat the phones such as the Palm Pre, Apple iPhone etc due to it’s big list of features but it falls short due to the Symbian OS it uses which is not as refined as the other OSes. But the Nokia N97 impresses in other areas such as audio and video.

The folks over at FoneArena have managed to get their hands on the Nokia N97 and in the process they have written a good preview and posted some good pictures of the device.

They say that though they cant comment much on the software, the hardware of the Nokia N97 is amazing. The unit they had was the black one. They said that the chrome trim, slide out QWERTY keyboard and everything on the phone was perfect and fit for the price tag. There is a Facebook widget and the Mapping Application they used was sort of buggy. Theirs was a prototype and hence the keyboard on the model is different from what will be present on the production model. They conclude by saying it is expected to release in June and is one of the most anticipated handsets by Nokia.

The rumours are now over. The Nokia N97 hardware, processor and other details have been officially announced by Nokia. The Nokia N97 doesn’t come with the rumoured 600 MHz processor but a Single core 434MHz processor.

As an E-series user (I own an E71 and have also used an E63 for a month), I am really happy with the features, such as the QWERTY keyboard, e-mail app, WLAN, Quickoffice, sleek and elegant design, as well as being able to install many different apps which would make it a fantastic device. However, I was dissapointed by some other features such as the Media gallery, the purple pictures that the camera takes and the lack of N-Gage support, all in all, it’s the lack of multimedia features which N-series have to spare.

So now comes the N97, with features that both E-series and N-series devices would envy, it is the perfect son of the marriage between the E71 and the N96. N-series with a QWERTY keyboard sounds great! Being able to send e-mails, surf through the web and use widgets to check on your Facebook account, Twitter or favorite RSS feeds with a big touchscreen is just what I want!

Or how about taking high quality pictures, watching movies and YouTube videos and playing N-Gage games optimized for touchscreens; this is what Nokia claims to be offering with this device. Being able to install apps such as Quickoffice, Mobbler, Internet Radio, location-based services and other office apps would make any E-series user really happy.

As I have read in many blogs, Why can’t E-series users have Multimedia features and high-quality cameras? Why can’t N-series users have office apps, QWERTY keyboards and e-mail apps? If Nokia hits the spot with this device, many people will be happy and we will have the best Nokia handset ever made.
