Handy RSS for Nokia N97
Since I am an avid user of RSS Feeds, I decided to search for an application for my Nokia N97, one that was equally good in terms of quality and money. My first thought was Epocware , who keep coming up with really good applications, my all time favourite is Handy Taskman, though I don’t recommend it if you own a N97 or the 5800. On my next post I will give you my personal reasons. Let’s have a look at the Handy RSS.
Anyway, I visited the site and decided to download an application called Handy RSS. I have been thinking of trialling this for a while now and I made my decision couple of weeks back. It will cost you $9.99 if you decide to buy it, but like all others it comes with a trial period of 14 days.
My first concerned was, how easy would it be to ad feeds, because if you are like me and have 100 plus feeds, the last thing on your mind will be to manually ad them. My worst fears were realised on the Handy RSS application. After 5 feeds, my thumb was already hurting. Here comes the stylus. In case you’re wondering there is an option to import feeds but the help section is not very clear on how you can achieve this.
Once you’ve added a few of them you can start to enjoy the application. Updating the feeds is quite fast on Wi-Fi or if you happen to be on a 3g area. If you go to settings you will find that you can keep your feeds for up to 3 months. You can update your feeds at every start up and you can choose to mark your feeds as read manually or automatically. If you are looking for something in particular and happened to know the day there is a feature called Go to Date”.
All in all it’s not a bad application and for 10 bucks you can’t really expect much. I would have liked if it came with a feed search option and then it would be worth every penny. Looks like my trial is over.
What application do you use for your feeds addiction? Is the built in feed app enough if you own a Nokia N97, if you own a Nokia 5800 which one do you use? Also, please, make sure that you subcribe our RSS feeds.

As sad as it is to admit, i just use http://google.com/reader/i/ to see the iphone page of my google reader RSS. I’ve got close to a hundred feeds and haven’t found a good solution either.
