David Meyer over at ZDNet UK has got his hands on the Nokia N97 which he describes as Nokia’s big play against the new iPhone and the Palm Pre both of which are also expected to be launched at the same time as the Nokia N97.

Although he hasn’t spent too much time with the device, he posts what one can conclude from spending some time with the Nokia N97.

He breaks down the preview into good and bad. First he discusses on the Widgets on the homescreen, RSS, Facebook application etc. He was not too impressed with the looks of the homescreen as compared to it’s competitors however.

He says the phone is chunky and the build quality is good but not great like the E71 but it is better than the Nokia N95 and N96 in this aspect. The slide is very smooth and so is the keyboard responsiveness.
