The people over at UK Mobile Today said that Nokia is set to decrease the price of it’s Nokia N97 from the initial high price fixed with network operators.

Why/who has influenced the decision is still unknown. The new price  of Nokia N97 is not known yet but it is definitely less than the original price of 500 pounds.

Here is a quote from an operator:

“It’s definitely true that the N97 is not as expensive as it was initially. But it was eye watering before. It’s still going to be difficult to get a decent price.”

The Nokia N97 will also feature the BBC iPlayer when launched in the UK. The Nokia N96 also came with the BBC iPlayer but the one that comes with the Nokia N97 will be more interesting, fun and improved.

The fall in price of the Nokia N97 will only create an opportunity for Nokia to capture more consumers especially since many want the device even with it’s high price. Analysts say that the operators will have to take the Nokia N97 even because of it’s high price due to it’s high demand by consumers.
